What was the Iron Curtain?

The Iron Curtain was an ideal barrier created by the Soviet Union. It was build to isolate itself from non-communists countries. The name was used, as a metaphor British Prime Minister Winston Churchill made famous. There were restrictions following its completion.

What caused the Iron Curtain?

As a result of the tensions between Democrat and Communist, the Soviet Union built the Iron Curtain. Following its creation the Democrat’s created NATO. In response the Communist created the Warsaw pact. And the Iron Curtain divided them.

When did the Iron Curtain fall?

On June 27, 1989 the Iron Curtain had finally fallen. Following the collapse of communism in 1989. This event also marked the end of the cold war. As a result the Soviet Union and fallen.
